Job Context

  • Build up the deposit portfolio of the Wholesale Banking team through catering to receivables and payable requirements of different corporate houses, public sector and capital market institutional clients by offering a wide range of banking products and services. Explore different avenues to optimize cost through innovative solutions. At the same time ring fence corporate clients through cross selling retails products and integrating them with the corporate product offerings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managerial Responsibilities: Form and lead the team towards achieving the bank’s business goals by the utilization of the available resources. Identify and acquire liability business opportunities focusing on multinational clients and other private & public sector clients who require cash management solutions to achieve and exceed business budget. Develop high engagement among the team members with cultural and behavioral excellence. Consider team development to be of core priority and arrange learning and development facilities. Implement hands-on mechanism to coach with productive personal development plans with regular follow up. Share experience, best practices and knowledge with subordinates and also establish a culture to disseminate experience and best practices. Establish succession plans for key roles using suitable internal, external and selective hires where appropriate. Generate retention strategies keeping pace with the organization’s cost plan.
  • Revenue Generation: Generate strategic and tactical plans to assist the achievement of the department’s deposit target, non-funded income and client service excellence. Identify and acquire liability business opportunities focusing on multinational clients and other private & public sector clients who require cash management solutions to achieve and exceed business budget. Set team objectives, including revenue targets and closely monitor the achievements against management expectations. Develop bespoke cash management, capital market and custodial services solutions for the corporate clients and at the same time maintain fruitful relationship with them to retain the market leadership in the concerned segments. Drive the development, sales and marketing of cash management, payments, capital market and custodial services products with emphasis on electronic banking products and solutions. Establish profitable and sustainable product relationships through identifying and meeting business needs of the existing and potential customers with unique value propositions. Maintain customer relationship to escalate their utilization of the cash management, payments, capital market and custodial services products and services to optimize the portfolio size of the department.
  • Cross Selling: Gain product knowledge of other departments of the bank to attain effective cross selling. Arrange joint calls with officials from other departments in order to cross sell and ring fence them with other products and services of the bank.
  • Product Development: Assess the market potential and generate new products and services providing end to end solution to clients. Pro-actively analyze and understand the changing needs of the clients and develop products and services accordingly.
  • Client Services: Ensure consistent delivery of top quality and market leading services based on client feedback. Cater to client requests promptly to attain client satisfaction. Keep close liaise with the various departments of the bank to ensure uninterrupted client services.
  • Compliance: Coordinate and ensure that the operations of the department are in compliance with the bank’s policy and regulatory guidelines protecting it from risks of fraud, money laundering, regulatory and other legal risks. • Build and maintain relationship with the concerned regulatory authorities such as Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission etc.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure i.e. meet deadlines, manage priorities and have multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
  • Strong communication skills both in English and Bengali along with writing skills.
